C-can I pick Howzer for #1, mmmaybe? 👉👈
ANY EXCUSE TO WRITE FOR HOWZER, my love! :D This follower celebration was SO FUN because the variety of prompts and people I have waiting to be written about are just... *chef's kiss*. This one was super fun. It was one of those times where the writing just kind of falls into place as you go along! Hope it's a fun one. <3
#1 - You hear [clone] tell the waitress that they are nervous for their blind date, but no one shows up. So you sit down to act like the date.
Howzer x Fem!Reader Word Count: 3.5k Content Warnings: Kissin and drinkin ;)

He caught your eye the moment he walked in. He was immediately recognizable as a clone, but he just had a little extra *somethin* that immediately had your attention. Whether it was the tousled undercut he sported or the curving scars across his cheek and chin, you were thoroughly enjoying the view from your perch at the far end of the bar counter. It was always fun to see clones free of their armor, enjoying their scarce free time.
You’d had to stay late after your shift at the restaurant, covering a baby shower that stretched for hours through the day and into the afternoon, and now the dinner rush was already starting. You were free to leave, of course, but an extra dirty martini and some of the mistaken food orders were too good to pass up. Plus, the bartender was your best friend, so when she had a break between customers, there was always good conversation to be had.
“Did you see that test tube specimen walk in just now? Right up your alley…” she asked, waggling her eyebrows at you while she shook a steel canister.
“It’s not ALL clones, Dee…” you said in mock defensiveness. Okay, so you had a type. And there happened to be millions of them. But they weren’t all the same… not that it was worth getting into it with her again. “But yeah,” you admitted, peering over your shoulder again, watching him sit and gently take the menu from his server, “He’s got a sweet vibe.”
“You’ve watched him for fifteen seconds and you already think you can tell his vibe?” Dee challenged, pouring the drink. Without waiting for an answer, she bustled off to deliver it, leaving you to wait for his server to come back to the station next to your seat. As soon as he approached, you were speaking.
“So what’s the deal with table 44 over there?” you asked, earning an immediate snarky grin from Barnes, who was quite the tall drink of water himself, but he’d made it quickly known that he wasn’t interested in women.
“Ohh, you noticed, huh?” Barnes laughed, tapping on the register screen to enter a drink order, which you leaned over to peer at, curious what he might like. “Yeah, he’s a treat. All cute and nervous, too. He’s on a blind date.”
“Ahh, damn,” you said, leaning back to your food. “Well let’s see who he got set up with.”
* * *
You lost track of time, nursing your martini and accepting an extra appetizer that had been ordered and then changed. Dee had been regaling you with a tale from the last party she’d been to, although it was delivered in bits and pieces as she went about her job. It wasn’t until Barnes gave you a tap on the shoulder that you remembered to look for the clone’s hot date. Surprisingly, however, the chair opposite him was still empty, and he was leaning his chin into one hand, elbow on the table, the other hand idly twirling the straw in his drink. He looked so smart in his dark grey uniform, and you noted the way it fit snugly around his chest and arms, tucked neatly in to a belt around his narrow waist.
“Get this,” Barnes said conspiratorially as he tapped on the register again, “He just asked for the check, for just his drink. I think he got stood up. Should I quit and go join him?” he paused, as though he were genuinely asking you, then chuckled. “Ehh, I’m not into the military type. Also, it’s getting busier -- you should get out of here before you get wrangled into serving some tables.”
“Good point,” you said, not really thinking about what he said because you were so surprised and distracted at the fact that Mr. Handsome over there had been stood up. What kind of idiot… Suddenly, an idea popped into your head, as the rest of Barnes’ words finally processed, and you decided to act on it before your rational brain (and cowardly second-guessing) kicked in. “Wait, Barnes, don’t give him the check…” you said, putting a hand on his arm as the receipt printed in front of him. “I’m gonna do it.”
His genuine laugh of delight was infectious, and further fueled your slightly bubbly mood. “Well you’d better come up with a good excuse for making him wait so long… And make it worth his time,” he said, giving you a suggestive wink that earned him a smack on the shoulder. You stuffed your apron into the cabinet below the server stand and rushed to the refresher to see what could be done. The smell of a full day’s work in a restaurant was heavy on your clothes and hair, and the barely-remaining makeup was sparse. Grateful for the little basket of hygiene items kept under the sink, you pulled your hair down, tousling it with your fingers after spraying some refreshing powder through it. You got some paper towels wet and wiped your armpits, laughing at the thought of the clone seeing you now. There was nothing to be done about your outfit -- black button-up shirt and black pants -- but at least you could untuck the shirt now and roll up the sleeves. You made one last stop by the bar, making two rushed requests of Dee.
“Hey -- real quick -- I need that gold necklace from the lost and found drawer, and can you make a dirty martini and another of whatever he had?”
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” she said, shaking her head fondly as she fetched the necklace that had been left a few weeks ago. “I mean, what the heck. Sounds like fun, and probably nicer for him than going home sad.” Armed with two drinks and as much courage as you could muster, you headed for the table, running through all the possibilities in your mind.
“Hi! Blind date, right?” you asked, wanting to be careful not to lie. His brown eyes lifted to you, expression unreadable. He’d been patiently waiting, but was he the stiff sort who would be indignant at being made to wait? Or was he a pushover so desperate for attention that he’d put up with anything? It remained to be seen.
“Yeah,” he said in that smooth clone voice you’d heard so many times. “Howzer,” he said, standing to greet you. He awkwardly offered a hand, realizing you had a drink in each of yours, and gave a breathy chuckle of relief as you quickly set the glasses on the table and took his hand, giving it a gentle shake. You froze, unsure of whether to use your name, or if he knew the name of the person he was expecting…
“And you’re Xena, right? Here, please, sit?” he continued, standing behind your chair and smiling in such a kind way that the guilt settled heavily on your shoulders. He’d been made to wait an awfully long time, and yet here he was, offering a kind and graceful introduction…And it was also way too much work to try to figure out how to continue the deception as further details would be questioned.
“Erm, no…” you admitted, once he’d cordially seated you and taken his place across the table. His furrowed brow and crooked smile made your heart skip a beat, and you blundered on, “I’m sorry… I work here, well, not right now, but I was hanging out, and I heard you were waiting for someone, and I saw it had been a long time, and I was… well, yeah, I was totally creeping on you from over there… And I just didn’t want you left here hanging cause you’re just… Well you seem really nice… And honestly, you’re really cute… Ohhhh man. This is not a good start,” you laughed nervously, burying your face in your hands. What HAD you been thinking?
Howzer put two and two together and leaned back, running a hand over his tousled hair. You grimaced, hoping it wouldn’t all fall to pieces, and gently pushed the drink toward him once you were willing to show your face again, despite its bright red color. “Here… I brought the same thing you ordered, and… you can just enjoy it, if you want… Sorry, I don’t know what I was aiming for here,” you fumbled, starting to rise to your feet.
“No, wait -- it’s alright,” he offered, raising a hand to accompany his words. “I guess Pivot didn’t paint me in the best light to whoever I was supposed to meet here,” he chuckled dryly. “But it was kind of you to take pity on me… I think? Well, I don’t know about you, but I’m starving, so what do you say to some dinner?”
Relief cascaded down at the invitation, and your shoulders dropped a few inches with the release of tension. You smiled, letting out the breath you didn’t know you’d been holding, and nodded.
“You said you work here?” he continued, opening the menu as if he hadn’t spent the last thirty minutes reading it about eight times over. “What’s the good stuff? Oh, and I suppose I should ask your name too.”
You filled him in, on both points, and had just began sharing about how you got this job when Barnes interrupted you by sliding right up to the table with an air that absolutely demanded attention. “Welllll hellooo again. I see your date showed up?” he said, mock innocence painted all over his face. Howzer gave you a smirk with a raised eyebrow, and you blushed bright red again, chuckling anxiously once again.
“I told him, Barnes,” you said, holding your hands up in surrender. “I’m not cut out for this sort of thing.”
“And yet you’re still here,” Barnes pointed out, pursing his lips at you before sending Howzer a rather flirty glance. “I mean, I don’t blame you. But you’re not skimping on my tip if you’re gonna make me serve you,” he said, turning back to you. His charisma lightened the mood even further, and you assured him that he would not be slighted in any way. After some discussion about the dishes and a few suggestions, both you and Howzer had the food ordered and were left to stare at each other once again. You were trying to figure out what kind of date this was meant to be, what type he may be looking for (or what type he was himself). But instead of trying to make yourself into something you weren’t, you decided to just be authentic and see where it went. You didn’t really have much to lose, anyway.
“So. Howzer,” you said, “How’d you get the name?”
He leaned forward again, stirring his drink again and appearing to be much more relaxed, and began sharing stories from his life so far. It was decidedly different than yours, especially with the fact that he aged twice as fast. You tried not to think about the actual number of years he’d been alive, as that would make you a total pervert by regular human age standards. He told tales of his brothers, their personalities and quirks, and the adventures that his military life had taken him on so far. He shared his thoughts about the world, musing about ideas for the future -- if or when things ever changed. The minutes melted away, punctuated only by Barnes appearing occasionally to refill drinks, bring plates, or clear them away.
You’d always had a soft spot for the clones, but you loved seeing them open up. The unique complexity of each individual was always a delight, and Howzer seemed to have more depth than most. He was simultaneously ambitious yet reserved, steady yet bold. You were finding yourself more and more enthralled, and in a bit of disbelief at your luck. Somehow you’d chatted away the entire dinner rush, and the restaurant was now growing quiet, filled with only a few lingering guests.
The conversation took a bit of a flirty turn, and you found yourself reaching across the table in a fit of laughter, clapping your hand on top of his. He smiled, still chuckling, and turned his hand over to gently take yours, sending another spark through your body. His gaze darkened a little, taking on a suggestive edge that suddenly made you ready to take him home right then and there. His thumb traced softly across your knuckles, and his eyes dropped to your hands on the table.
“Well, things didn’t turn out so badly tonight after all, did they…” Howzer mused. His smooth voice and the thrill of the last couple of hours of conversation and connection had you feeling as though you were living a dream. You smiled, giving his hand a little squeeze, and shook your head.
“Want to get out of here?” you asked, perhaps with more of a seductive tone than you’d intended.
“Oh, ahh, sure… But… well, I mean…” he stuttered, sheepish and hesitant all of a sudden, and you wondered if you’d crossed a line somehow.
“I just meant for a walk, or glow pops, or something to change the scene,” you offered brightly, and though he tried to hide it, he looked visibly relieved.
“Sure -- yes -- sorry,” he continued, running a hand through his hair again. “Look, this has been super fun, and I’m so glad you took the initiative to sit down. I’m just… I’m not much of a one-night-stand kind of guy. I know it’s lame, or whatever, but… I guess I just take a while to warm up that way… The guys make fun of me for it all the time.” You felt your heart swell in your chest at his vulnerability. You definitely hadn’t been expecting that, and somehow it made you crave him even more. Respectfully, of course.
“Don’t apologize!” you insisted, leaning forward and picking your hand up from his to place it on his bicep, emphasizing your words with a smile. “I’ve really enjoyed this. And would like to continue to enjoy it.”
“I mean, I’m not a total prude,” he said, laughing self-consciously, still with that glint in his eyes that hit you right in the soul.
“I don’t know,” you said playfully, being careful to keep it lighthearted, “We’ll have to see about that.” You bit your lip, hoping it wasn’t too much of a jab, but he smirked, primly setting his napkin on the table and rising to his feet, extending a hand to you.
“Well let’s start with a walk.”
After fighting over the bill for a few minutes, since you “weren’t the one he asked on a date” but he “had indeed taken you on a date” but “it was where you worked” but “it still needed to be paid” but “you wanted to be fair”… You let him pay with the insistence that you’d be getting the next one, which gave you a little thrill at the thought that there would be a next one. The coat closet was in the middle of a long, narrow hallway that branched away from the host stand at the main entrance, and the hallway included a few other doors that led to the refreshers as well as the kitchen. Howzer leaned in, scanning the hangers for his coat, and suddenly you heard a loud voice as the restaurant door slammed closed behind someone.
“Hello! I need to be seated immediately. Oh, it’s been a ROTTEN evening. The stupid taxi driver got lost twice, and the train was held up by some idiot old lady, and now I’m incredibly late to meet someone here!” a sharp female voice announced, catching the attention of everyone within hearing range. The realization hit you like a gallon of ice water dumped over your head, and as Howzer leaned out of the closet door to peer at the disturbance, you moved without thinking, pushing him back into the coat closet with so much force that both of you lost your balance and tumbled in, kept on your feet (barely) only by the row of jackets hanging up along the back wall.
Howzer’s arms went out to the sides, hitting the wall with an ungainly thump, and you fell into him, landing against his chest in the most fortuitous way, hands splayed across his shoulders to try to break your fall. You couldn’t help but laugh at the sheer ridiculousness of the situation, and heard him chuckle quietly once the initial surprise had passed.
“I wasn’t aware I had this effect on women,” he said in a low voice, and you held a finger to your lips with urgency, tilting your head toward the loud voice still ringing outside.
“What do you MEAN, he left?!” she said shrilly, and you could hear Barnes smoothing things over. “You can’t hold a table longer than two hours? That’s just ridiculous.” You sent up a silent prayer of thanks for his quick thinking and willingness to cover for you. You slowly pushed yourself to your feet, freeing Howzer from beneath you, though you were quite loath to do so, and watched him slowly stand straight as well. His eyebrows raised at what he was hearing, and he looked down at you in amusement.
“I may have dodged a bullet tonight,” he whispered, and you stifled a giggle.
“Fine, well at least tell me where the refresher is, and I’ll be on my way!” the woman demanded, and the quick click-clack of her heels coming down the hall sent you both into a panic again. There was nowhere to hide except behind all the coats, and you both immediately dove into the row of fabrics, pushing them out in front of you and flattening yourselves against the wall, side by side. Now you were trying really hard not to laugh, at the utter ridiculousness of this turn of events, and you clapped a hand over your mouth to avoid making a sound.
“You know she doesn’t even know what I look like, right? We’ve never met,” Howzer breathed in your ear, and you gave him a little push.
“There weren’t any other clones in the restaurant tonight, were there?” you whispered right back, and he tilted his head in concession.
“Good point.”
The sound of the refresher door closing was a welcome one, and you pushed the line of jackets in front of you apart, taking a deep breath of the fresh air that was a nice change from the stuffiness of your hiding place. You were getting ready to head out when you felt Howzer pull your arm, and you turned back toward him questioningly.
“We don’t want to risk it. Better wait til she leaves,” he said, shrugging as though he had no choice in the matter. But the soft croon of his voice and that little shimmer of a reflection of the dim closet light in his eye took away absolutely any reason you may have to argue, and you leaned back into him, facing him now, as he rested against the wall. Jackets were stuffed all around you, draped over your back and undoubtedly sticking out a bit, but his breath caught in his throat as you drew near and the sound made you forget about everything else.
“I don’t want to push you past your comfort zone,” you said softly, feeling the tingles growing as he ran his hands up the outsides of your arms, and you brought your hands up to rest on his broad chest.
“I appreciate that,” he breathed, leaning in a little closer, “But I told you I wasn’t a complete prude.” He was so close now that you could smell him, an intoxicating mix of aftershave, soap, traces of scents from dinner, and the slightest hint of musk underneath it all. His proximity was electrifying, and you lifted your face to take in the fondness in his eyes and the gentleness in his expression. You were hopelessly lost at this point. “Can I kiss you?” he whispered, and your cheeks curved into a smile at his gentlemanly request.
“Yes please,” you whispered back, and as soon as the last syllable had left your lips, his mouth was against them, arms wrapping you in a firm yet tender embrace. As if the closet weren’t stuffy enough, the sudden heat of the moment, combined with the two of you pressed together, had you completely flushed with warmth. His kiss was unfathomably sweet, and when he pulled away with a soft smack of the lips, he rested his forehead against yours with a small smile on his face. You lifted a hand to his scarred cheek, reveling in the moment.
The silence was broken by the refresher door opening again, and an aggressive tapping of heels echoed down the hallway as the narrowly-avoided blind date from hell clattered out the front door. You pulled back a little to better meet Howzer’s eyes, though you could have stayed there forever.
“Now how about that walk?”

Return of a Legacy Chapter 1
This is an original story I've written, it's also posted on A03 and I hope you like it, comments, are always welcome.
In the cosmos's heart, the serene planet Elysiar lay cradled in peace, its rolling hills and quaint villages a stark contrast to the galaxy's distant tumult. Here, Alaenna, a girl with eyes as bright as the twin suns and a spirit curious as the wind, found her sanctuary in a humble orphanage nestled in the heart of a verdant valley.
Alaenna's life was a tapestry woven into Elysiar's very essence. Each morning, as the village awoke to the dawn chorus, she walked the cobblestone streets, her smile a reflection of the suns' warmth. The villagers, in turn, greeted her with a fondness tinged with reverence, acknowledging her as one of their own, yet an enigma.
In the lively marketplace, Alaenna's touch seemed to infuse the fruits and flowers with a touch of Elysiar's magic, her connection to the planet evident in her every interaction. Yet, there were moments, fleeting and filled with wonder, when her otherness would surface – objects levitating or her sudden, distant gaze, as if listening to a secret whisper. These instances were met with awe, the villagers accepting her uniqueness as part of their world's rhythm.
The afternoons were for the children, who gathered in the orphanage's garden, captivated by Alaenna's tales of distant worlds and heroes. Unbeknownst to them, her stories were woven from the threads of her visions, fragments of a legacy yet to be understood.
As night fell and the twin suns bid farewell, Alaenna found solace in the forests of Elysiar. Her solitary walks were a communion with nature, the creatures of the wood drawn to her innate connection to the planet. It was in these moments of solitude that her visions became clearer, whispering of ancient battles, lost legacies, and a destiny intertwined with the stars.
Mareen, the village's wise elder, guided Alaenna through the maze of her burgeoning powers. "Your gift is a rare one," Mareen would say, her eyes reflecting the depth of the night sky. "Forces ancient and powerful stir within you." Yet, even Mareen's wisdom could not unveil all the secrets that beckoned to Alaenna.
The Festival of Moons marked a turning point. That night, as Elysiar celebrated under the glow of lanterns, Alaenna's dreams brought her face to face with a mysterious figure, a herald of the path unfolding before her. Troubled yet intrigued, she sought Mareen's counsel, sensing the threads of her destiny weaving together.
In the days that followed, a subtle change permeated Elysiar. The villagers sensed it, a sense of anticipation and pride for the girl who had grown amongst them, yet a realization that their village was on the cusp of an irreversible change.
Alaenna herself felt the shift most profoundly. Each vision, each whisper of the wind, drew her closer to the unknown. As she stood at the village's edge, gazing at the starlit sky, she knew her time on Elysiar was nearing its end.
With the dawn's golden light, an air of expectancy filled the village. Unseen, a starship descended toward Elysiar, heralding the beginning of Alaenna’s true journey. Among the children, as she imparted lessons of life and harmony, Alaenna felt a resonance with the Force, an undeniable call to embrace her legacy.
Her path, woven into the fate of the galaxy, was now clear. The time had come for Alaenna to step beyond Elysiar's embrace, to follow the whispers of her destiny and become the beacon of hope for a galaxy in turmoil.
******
On the distant planet of Elysiar, a world untouched by the turmoil of the galaxy, an unexpected visitor arrived. Mace Windu, a figure of legend in the Jedi Order, set foot on the lush greenery of this secluded planet, his mission seemingly unrelated to the serene world before him. The Jedi Master, known for his wisdom and prowess in the Force, was accompanied by a squad of elite clone troopers, their presence a stark contrast to the peaceful surroundings.
The reason for their landing on Elysiar was ostensibly simple – a routine reconnaissance, a minor detour in the grand scheme of the Clone Wars. Yet, as Mace Windu stepped onto the soil of Elysiar, he couldn't shake off the feeling that the Force had guided him here for a reason far more significant than any routine mission.
The planet radiated a sense of tranquility he hadn't felt in years, a stark contrast to the shadows of conflict that clouded most of his days. As he moved through the dense foliage, his troopers following in a disciplined formation, Mace couldn't help but feel a disturbance in the Force – not of darkness, but of light, a beacon of hope and purity that pierced through the encroaching darkness of the galaxy.
The troopers, veterans of many battles, sensed their General's change in demeanor. They exchanged glances, their respect for Mace Windu mixed with curiosity. They were trained to face danger head-on, yet here on Elysiar, the threat was not of blasters or enemy combatants, but something far more elusive and enigmatic.
As they ventured deeper, the lush landscapes of Elysiar unfolded around them, a vibrant tapestry of nature that seemed almost surreal in its beauty. Mace Windu, guided by an unseen force, found himself drawn towards the heart of the planet, towards the source of the light he sensed.
The village, with its cobblestone paths and quaint homes, came into view. The inhabitants, unaccustomed to visitors of such imposing stature, watched warily yet with open curiosity. Mace Windu, his gaze calm yet penetrating, surveyed the surroundings, his senses attuned to the Force.
It was here, among the simple folk of Elysiar, that he felt the disturbance most strongly. A presence, pure and powerful in the Force, unlike anything he had encountered before. It resonated with a clarity that was almost overwhelming, a call that could not be ignored.
The clone troopers, ever vigilant, stood guard, their loyalty to Mace Windu unwavering. They watched as their General, usually so stoic and unyielding, seemed momentarily lost in thought, his connection with the Force evident in his focused demeanor.
Mace Windu knew that this was no coincidence, no mere twist of fate. The Force had guided him to Elysiar, to this very village, for a purpose that was slowly unveiling itself. The beacon of light he sensed was here, a hidden jewel in a galaxy on the brink of darkness.
In the heart of the village, unaware of the Jedi Master's presence, was Alaenna, a girl whose destiny was intertwined with the fate of the galaxy. Mace Windu, standing on the threshold of a significant discovery, prepared himself to unravel the mystery that the Force had laid before him.
This encounter, unbeknownst to both Alaenna and Mace Windu, was set to change the course of the galaxy, a pivotal moment where paths crossed and destinies aligned under the watchful eyes of the Force.
In the heart of Elysiar’s village, where life moved to the rhythm of nature’s song, Mace Windu’s path finally converged with Alaenna’s. The Jedi Master, his robes slightly out of place in the rustic setting, stood quietly, observing the young woman who seemed to be the source of the profound disturbance he had sensed in the Force.
Alaenna, unaware of the significance of this encounter, was tending to a small garden beside the orphanage, her hands gently caressing the petals of a blooming flower. The air around her seemed to hum with an unseen energy, a melody of the Force that was both serene and powerful.
As Mace Windu approached, his steps deliberate yet unthreatening, the clone troopers fanned out, their training keeping them alert yet respectful of the peaceful surroundings. The villagers, sensing the gravity of the moment, watched from a respectful distance.
"Excuse me," Mace Windu began, his voice calm yet carrying an undercurrent of fascination. "I am Master Mace Windu of the Jedi Order."
Alaenna looked up, her eyes meeting his. A flicker of recognition passed through her – not of the man himself, but of the presence he carried, a presence she had felt in her visions.
"You have a remarkable connection to the Force," Mace continued, his keen eyes studying her. "I sense around you what we call 'shatter points' – critical junctures that can influence future events. Your presence in the Force is... extraordinary."
Alaenna stood, wiping her hands on her apron, a mix of curiosity and caution in her gaze. "I've always felt a connection to something greater, visions and dreams that I didn't fully understand. But what are these 'shatter points'?"
"They are points in time where significant changes can occur, where the smallest actions can have profound effects on the future," Mace explained, his voice reflecting his awe at the discovery. "It's rare to see them so clearly around a person. It suggests a destiny of great significance."
Alaenna absorbed his words, a sense of wonder and apprehension swirling within her. "Does this mean I have a role to play in the events to come?" she asked, her voice a mere whisper, yet carrying the weight of her potential destiny.
Mace nodded, a sense of solemnity enveloping him.
"The Force has guided me here to you, and I believe it is no coincidence. You are at the center of something much larger than yourself. Your connection to the Force could be pivotal in the days ahead."
The clone troopers, standing guard, watched the exchange with disciplined silence, their presence a reminder of the galaxy's ongoing turmoil. They too sensed the importance of this meeting, understanding that the young woman before them was more than just a villager on a remote planet.
Alaenna looked around at the faces of the villagers, her adoptive family, and then back at Mace Windu. A myriad of emotions played across her face – fear, excitement, uncertainty. The garden, once a place of simple peace, now felt like a crossroads of her destiny.
****
As the twin suns of Elysiar dipped below the horizon, casting a soft glow over the village, Mace Windu and his clone troopers, including Commander Ponds, prepared to settle in for the night. The villagers, though initially apprehensive, extended their hospitality, intrigued by their visitors from the stars.
Mace, his mind still reeling from the revelation of Alaenna's connection to the Force, found himself in a quiet corner of the village square, where a modest feast had been prepared. Alaenna joined him, her curiosity about her destiny and her place in the Force growing.
"Master Windu," Alaenna began, her voice tinged with a mix of curiosity and apprehension. "What does this all mean for me? For my life here on Elysiar?"
Mace looked at her, his expression thoughtful.
"Your connection to the Force is unique. It's clear that you have a significant role to play in the events unfolding in the galaxy. Your training and understanding of the Force will be vital."
Commander Ponds, standing a respectful distance away, couldn't help but overhear the conversation. His usual stoic demeanor softened slightly as he observed the young woman. To him, she was an enigma – a civilian with a potential impact on the galactic scale.
Alaenna glanced towards Commander Ponds, sensing his presence. "And your soldiers, what do they think of all this?"
Ponds stepped forward, nodding respectfully to Alaenna. "We follow Master Windu's lead. If he believes you're important to our mission and to the galaxy, then we're here to support that."
Alaenna offered a small, grateful smile. "Thank you, Commander Ponds. I've never been part of something so... vast."
As the night progressed, the villagers mingled with the clone troopers, the initial tension giving way to cautious fascination. Stories and experiences were shared, bridging the gap between the two vastly different worlds.
Mace, observing the interactions, felt a sense of hope. In Alaenna, he saw not just a potential Jedi but a symbol of unity in a divided galaxy. Her natural empathy and connection to those around her were evident, even in this brief encounter.
"Alaenna, the path ahead will be challenging," Mace said softly, drawing her attention back to him. "But I sense a strength in you. The Force has chosen you for a reason."
"I've always wanted to understand my visions, to know why I'm different," Alaenna replied, her gaze steady. "If being part of the Jedi Order will help me find those answers, then I'm ready to take that step."
Commander Ponds listened, his respect for Alaenna growing. In her, he saw not just strength but a genuine desire to understand her place in the galaxy. It was a trait he admired, a stark contrast to the often rigid perspectives he encountered.
As the night wore on, the conversations deepened, weaving the first threads of understanding and camaraderie between the villagers, the clone troopers, and Alaenna. For Mace Windu, this night reinforced his belief in the Force's guiding hand, bringing together disparate paths for a greater purpose.
In the quiet of the evening, under the starlit sky of Elysiar, a new alliance was forming, one that would ripple across the galaxy, with Alaenna at its heart.
******
As the village of Elysiar slumbered under a blanket of stars, Alaenna tossed restlessly in her modest room at the orphanage. Her dreams, vivid and tumultuous, swept her away to realms unknown, to scenes of a past steeped in mystery and grandeur.
In her dream, Alaenna found herself amidst grand halls and soaring spires, echoes of a past grandeur. She walked through corridors lined with portraits of individuals bearing a regal bearing, their eyes seeming to follow her with a knowing gaze. The Tarrealis legacy, though unknown to her, whispered through these visions, revealing glimpses of magnificent dragons soaring through the skies, their riders noble and proud.
As she moved through the dream, Alaenna felt an overwhelming sense of loss and longing, a connection to these people whose names and stories were yet a mystery to her. The images shifted, showing her scenes of joyous celebrations, groundbreaking achievements, and then, a descent into shadows – a great tragedy that seemed to tear at the very fabric of this once-glorious legacy.
Mace Windu, resting in a room not far from Alaenna’s, felt a disturbance in the Force. It was a ripple of turmoil, a storm of emotions that he instinctively knew emanated from Alaenna’s troubled dreams. Rising from his bed, he made his way to her room, his concern deepening with each step.
Commander Ponds and a few other clone troopers, sensing their General’s departure, followed at a discreet distance. Their loyalty to Mace Windu was unwavering, their trust in his judgment absolute. Yet, the nature of this disturbance, so deeply entwined with the mysteries of the Force, left them with a sense of unease.
Mace arrived at Alaenna’s door just as she awoke, her eyes wide with the remnants of her dream. He entered quietly, his presence calm and reassuring.
"Alaenna," Mace said softly. "I felt a disturbance. Are you alright?"
Alaenna, still caught in the afterglow of her visions, nodded slowly. "I had another dream, Master Windu. It was so vivid, like walking through memories that aren't mine. There were people, places... and dragons. It felt significant, but I don't understand what it means."
Mace listened intently, his mind processing the possible significance of her words. "Visions can be a powerful tool for those strong in the Force. They can reveal glimpses of the past, present, or even possible futures. But interpreting them can be challenging."
Outside, Commander Ponds and the troopers exchanged worried glances. The mention of visions and their unknown implications added a layer of complexity to their mission. They remained alert, ready to respond to any threat, yet aware that this was a battle fought on a different front – one of the mind and the Force.
"Could these visions be a message?" Alaenna asked, her voice tinged with a mix of hope and apprehension. "Could they be showing me something I need to know?"
"It's possible," Mace replied thoughtfully. "The Force often communicates in cryptic ways. It could be guiding you to uncover something important – perhaps about your heritage or a role you are destined to play."
Alaenna sat up, the weight of her potential destiny pressing upon her. "But what could it be? Who were the Tarrealis, and why do I see them in my dreams?"
Mace Windu placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "These are answers we will seek together. The Force has brought us here for a reason, and I believe your visions are a key part of that."
Outside, the clone troopers stood guard, their expressions stoic yet filled with concern. They knew the galaxy was on the brink of great change, and it seemed that this young woman, with her mysterious visions, was at the heart of it.
In the quiet of the night, Alaenna and Mace Windu talked, delving into the mysteries of the Force and the enigmatic legacy that seemed to be calling out to her. For Alaenna, this was the first time she truly felt understood, her fears and hopes acknowledged by someone who could help her find the answers she sought.
As the first light of dawn kissed the village of Elysiar, Mace Windu and Alaenna found themselves in deep conversation, seated on the worn steps of the orphanage. The peaceful morning air was a stark contrast to the weighty matters they discussed.
"Alaenna," Mace began, his voice reflecting the seriousness of the topic, "the path of a Jedi is not an easy one, especially for someone who begins training later in life. Yet, the Force's guidance in this matter is clear. Your connection to it is extraordinary, and I believe you have much to learn – and much to offer."
Alaenna nodded, her eyes reflecting the resolve that had formed within her. "I understand that it won't be easy, Master Windu. But these dreams, these visions... they confuse me. Sometimes, there's a voice calling out to me, but I don't know what it means."
Mace contemplated her words, his mind working through the implications. "Visions can be a manifestation of the Force communicating with us. This voice you hear could be a key to understanding your role in the larger scheme of things."
Alaenna looked towards the rising sun, her thoughts turbulent. "But why me? Why now? I've lived a simple life here; I never imagined being part of something so... vast."
"The Force often chooses unlikely individuals to play crucial roles," Mace replied, his gaze steady. "Your age is of less concern than your potential. The Force has been insistent in a way I've rarely experienced. It's not just me; it's urging that you be trained by Jedi Masters Plo Koon and Obi Wan Kenobi as well."
Alaenna's eyes widened in surprise. "Three Jedi Masters? But why?"
Mace sighed, a rare hint of uncertainty crossing his features. "I don't have all the answers, Alaenna. The Force works in mysterious ways, often revealing its intentions in time. But I trust in its guidance, and it has never been so clear as it is with you."
Commander Ponds, who had been standing watch nearby, listened intently. The idea of someone starting Jedi training at Alaenna's age was unheard of, yet if Master Windu believed it to be the right course of action, he would support it without question.
Alaenna took a deep breath, steadying her nerves. "If the Force deems it, then I will embark on this path. I want to understand these visions, to know my place in all this."
Mace nodded, approval evident in his eyes. "Training will be rigorous, and the path fraught with challenges. But I sense a great strength in you, Alaenna. You're not alone in this journey."
As the village began to stir, Mace stood up, extending his hand to help Alaenna to her feet. "We will make arrangements to begin your training as soon as possible. The galaxy is in a precarious state, and your role, whatever it may be, is crucial."
Alaenna stood, a sense of determination settling over her. "I'm ready, Master Windu. Ready to learn, to understand, and to face whatever the Force has in store for me."
As they walked back towards the heart of the village, the first rays of sunlight illuminating their path, a new chapter in Alaenna's life was beginning. A chapter filled with the promise of discovery, training, and the unraveling of a destiny that could change the course of the galaxy.
****
Across the galaxy, in a stark contrast to the tranquility of Elysiar, Obi-Wan Kenobi sat in a makeshift camp, surrounded by the familiar hum of his clone troopers. The night was dark, the stars obscured by the smoke of recent skirmishes. Around him, the troopers, including Commander Cody, Waxer, Boil, and the unit's medic, Bones, were engaged in routine duties, the atmosphere one of weary alertness.
Obi-Wan, his mind always partly attuned to the Force, felt an unexpected surge, a tidal wave of energy that knocked him off balance. The world spun momentarily as he grappled with the intensity of the vision that assaulted his senses.
Cody was at his side in an instant, concern etched on his face. "General Kenobi! Are you alright?"
Obi-Wan steadied himself, nodding slightly. "Yes, Cody, I'm fine. Just a... a powerful vision from the Force."
Waxer and Boil exchanged glances, their respect for the Jedi ways mingled with concern for their General. Bones stepped forward, his medical instinct kicking in. "Sir, you should sit down. You look like you've seen a ghost."
Obi-Wan managed a faint smile, easing himself down onto a nearby crate. "Not a ghost, Bones, something... different. The Force just gave me a rather insistent message."
Cody crouched beside him, his voice low. "What kind of message, sir?"
"It's about a girl, a new Padawan I'm supposed to train," Obi-Wan explained, his brow furrowed in thought.
"I don't know who she is or where she's from, but the vision was so clear, so forceful. It's been a long time since I've felt such a hopeful light in the Force."
The troopers gathered around, listening intently. The concept of the Force was something they respected, even if they didn't fully understand it. They knew that if their General was affected this strongly, it was a matter of great significance.
Boil, always the more vocal, spoke up. "Sir, what does this mean for our mission? Are we going to meet this new Padawan soon?"
"I'm not sure, Boil," Obi-Wan replied, his gaze distant as he pondered the implications.
"The vision didn't reveal much, only that I'm to be part of her training. This girl, whoever she is, holds a significant place in the Force. It's as if she's a beacon of hope, a light in these dark times."
Cody nodded, his expression serious.
"We'll support you, General, in whatever the Force asks of you. If this girl is as important as you say, then she's important to all of us."
Obi-Wan looked at his troopers, a sense of gratitude washing over him.
"Thank you, Cody. Your loyalty and support mean more than you know. For now, we continue with our mission. But I sense that soon, our paths will take us to this new Padawan."
As the group settled back into the rhythm of the camp, Obi-Wan's mind remained focused on the vision. The Force had never been so insistent, so direct in its guidance. The girl in his vision, a mystery for now, was about to become an integral part of their lives, a symbol of hope in a galaxy desperately in need of it.
In the quiet of the camp, under the dim light of distant stars, Obi-Wan Kenobi braced himself for the journey ahead, a journey that would intertwine his destiny with that of a new Padawan, a bearer of light in the darkening galaxy.
****
In a different sector of the galaxy, under the vast canvas of stars, Jedi Master Plo Koon sat in contemplation, surrounded by his loyal clone troopers. Commander Wolffe, Boost, Sinker, and others of the Wolfpack were gathered around, their armor stained with the remnants of recent battles. The atmosphere was one of solemn camaraderie, a brief respite in the midst of war.
Plo Koon, known for his deep connection to the Force and his wisdom, felt a sudden and intense disturbance ripple through him. It was as if the very fabric of the Force was beckoning him, pulling him towards a destiny yet unseen. The strength of the vision was such that it momentarily took his breath away, his usually stoic demeanor faltering under its weight.
Commander Wolffe was immediately at his side, concern evident even behind his helmet. "General Koon, are you hurt?"
Regaining his composure, Plo Koon shook his head slightly. "No, Wolffe, I am not injured. The Force... it has shown me something, a vision of great importance."
The troopers exchanged looks, their respect for Plo Koon's connection with the Force evident in their silent attention. They knew that such moments were rare and significant.
"What did you see, General?" asked Sinker, his voice tinged with curiosity and concern.
Plo Koon looked out into the night, his eyes reflecting the starlight. "It is a girl, a young Padawan that the Force insists I must train. This vision was powerful, more so than any I have experienced before. It suggests that this girl is of great importance to the future."
Wolffe stepped closer, his loyalty unwavering. "What does this mean for our mission, sir? How will this affect the Wolfpack?"
"The mission continues as planned, for now," Plo Koon replied, his voice calm yet filled with an undercurrent of anticipation.
"However, I believe that soon we will be called to meet this Padawan. She is like a beacon in the Force, a point of light in these dark times."
Boost, always quick to lighten the mood, chimed in,
"Sounds like we might be getting a new member in the Wolfpack, huh?"
Plo Koon allowed a small smile to grace his lips. "Perhaps, Boost. This Padawan will need all the support and guidance we can provide. The Force has been unequivocal in its message. She is essential to the balance of the Force, and our paths are destined to cross."
The troopers nodded in understanding, their trust in Plo Koon's wisdom and the will of the Force absolute. They knew that their journey alongside the Jedi Master often led them to unexpected paths, and this was no exception.
As the night deepened and the camp settled, Plo Koon sat in quiet reflection, pondering the implications of his vision. The galaxy was at a precipice, and the emergence of this new Padawan, whoever she was, marked a shift in the tides of fate.
Commander Wolffe and the others respected their General's need for contemplation, guarding the camp and their leader with silent vigilance. They were more than just soldiers; they were guardians of a future that was slowly unfolding under the guidance of the Force.
In the quiet solitude of space, Plo Koon awaited the moment when the Force would call them to action, to meet this mysterious Padawan who held the potential to alter the course of the galaxy.

Starting off by saying I hate “mom Danny” bc it tends to be p transphobic and misgendering, so if anyone adds it to my post I’m blocking them.
Tim making his Kon clone baby, but the cloning chamber isn’t stable enough for the fetus. He’s desperately trying anything that he think might work, when he comes across Phantom. Phantom who has experience with stabilizing clones.
Danny had heard whispers through the grapevine (Ellie who’d joined the Teen Titans as Phantasm) that there was someone attempting to make clones. He’d only meant to snoop and see if it was a Vlad situation. If any clones had been made and needed liberating. What he found was a newly minted Red Robin crying over a red blinking message on a cloning chamber. He warbled a quiet “please, Kon, I don’t want to live without you.”
Danny quickly realizing this wasn’t an attempt to replace and destroy, but actually someone grieving, in probably an unhealthy way, but who was Danny to judge, he’d once replaced Sam and Tucker with robots for less. So he decided to help Red Robin out. Sure, he hadn’t dealt with kryptonian dna before, but he was at least 89% sure halfa dna was way more complicated. And Red Robin had already figured out ways around the dna shenanigans, it was just the stability that wasn’t going well. Honestly, he didn’t think it would be as easy as an ecto dejecto like it had been for Ellie. But his parents had a lot of inventions that they’d started making to help out ghosts, once they’d realized Danny was Phantom. Maybe telling Red Robin about ghost IVF wasn’t his most thought through plan.
“I think what might help is an incubator.” Phantom had suggested.
Tim could only gesture at the cloning chambers that had failed him thus far. They were essentially huge incubators.
Phantom awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck. “I meant, like, a living incubator. Like a surrogate.”
“Where am I going to find someone that I not only trust to carry the baby, but also would volunteer?” Tim raised an eyebrow at him. Hell, had Tim had the equipment to do so, he would have carried the baby, everything else be damned. He just didn’t want to be alone anymore.
Phantom blushed green and looked away. “It might take a little tinkering with the embryos to work with the physiology, but…. I could carry the baby for you. I mean, I’m trans, and even if I wasn’t, ghosts are kind of malleable in a reproductive sense. And there are options for IVF in ghost science. And like, my own clone is like my little sister. I’m also a protection spirit, so I would protect the baby with my entire afterlife. And I’m kind of rambling so you should say something before I embarrass myself.”
“You would be willing to carry a baby for me?” Tim was shell shocked by the offer.
“I mean, yeah. You’re a good guy. You’re not cloning him for a malicious reason. You’re just trying to bring back a piece of your friend because you love and miss him. Dedication that strong for someone who has left the living plain, is admirable. You realized early on that you wouldn’t be able to increase the speed in which the clone grew. You’ve been trying despite knowing that this clone will be a baby that’s going to be your child, and not just the friend you lost. And I wouldn’t mind giving up my body for a little bit so you can make your family.”
Tim certainly hadn’t meant to surge forward and kiss Phantom. “Thank you.” Tim pulled Phantom into a fierce hug. “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
It took about a month for them to work out the kinks of making the baby safe for Danny’s body. In this time, Danny showing Red Robin his human form, and Tim revealing his own identity. It felt kind of wrong to keep his name from someone he intended to get pregnant with his child. Tim and Danny got close as they worked together on the baby. And there may have been a few more kisses shared between them. In the end, the baby ended up spliced with mostly Kon’s dna, some of Tim’s (to stabilize the kryptonian dna), and some of Danny’s (to keep the baby safe in the womb).
Once Danny was well and truly pregnant, he encouraged Tim to find Bruce. “I’ll keep the baby safe. You find your dad. If you need me for anything, I’m only a call away.” Tim hadn’t forgotten about Bruce, he’d just never thought it would take so long to set up cloning Kon. So much of his hurt and loneliness had fallen away in Danny’s presence, and Danny had let him hyper focus on making their baby.
“Probably terrible timing, but I’ve got to ask,” Tim swallowed nervously. “Be my boyfriend?”
Danny’s lopsided smile, thawed Tim’s nerves. “I think I could work with that. I hope you don’t mind kids though, I’m kind of pregnant.”
Tim huffed a laugh. “I’ll keep in touch while I’m away. Please keep me updated on the baby.”
Danny pulled him into a proper kiss, “I will.”
I’m mostly imagining Tim getting bump update photos and falling in love with his increasingly pregnant boyfriend, while he finds Bruce.
I’m also imagining after Bruce is back, Tim being like, “anyways gtg, my boyfriend is in his third trimester and I don’t want to miss the birth of our baby.” And peacing out before any bats could react, let alone stop him.
And also maybe when Kon comes back, there’s maybe a poly relationship started.
Also thinking about Tim getting Danny pregnant without the science.
Danny gets Dad, Tim gets Papa, and if Kon joins, he gets Poppy.

Timkon clon baby au but Bruce loves his grandson way too much he stops being Batman for a while to help single teen parent Tim being yk a parent.
Like, he's soooo down to being a grandfather that as soon as he sees the baby in Tim's arms he doesn't even asks where it comes from he's just omgomgomg a babyyyy.
Because, yk, he never got the chance to hold his kids when they were babies and now he can hold the baby of one of his babies.
Enter making the mannor baby proof on day one and making a whole room a playground!
And he sees how Tim is like, not okay, like, yes he's happy he's a father now, but the grief of his friend dying is still there and the guilt of trying to clone him AND successfully doing it is not going away quickly enough for him to be able to take care of a whole human being, so Bruce of course steps up (because he's a good father when he needs to, AND THAT'S A BABY OK).
So, being Batman vs being there for his son and grandchild? Obviously his family needs him more.
So pretty much everyone commits to the cause.
Dick can be Batman for a while, just like once a week so Gotham knows he's still there. Jason may help a little by not causing trouble and Cass is so down to watch the kid 24/7 because they don't know if he has powers yet or when will they appear.
Just a big bat family trying their best for the new baby!
Edit: follow up!

“Okay, first off don’t call me that, it’s kind of rude, imagine if I went around calling you the base template.”
Elle leaned over Danny’s shoulder, propping her chin in her hands as she smiled with too many teeth at Damian. “You can call me it. It’s kinda funny. ‘Cept I’m a Xerox of a Xerox.”
“So you’re not a clone of—” Damian started, glancing between the pair in confusion. “Is that why sh-”
“Not a clone of you.” Danny interrupted, seeming to find his plate of scrounged up desserts more interesting than eye contact. “I’m a clone of Damian Wayne, she’s a clone of Daniel Fenton.”
“Xerox of Xerox.” Elle held up a peace sign, her fingers cutting the air. “Clone of a clone. Very unstable, very fun. I have a tendency to nearly melt into primordial goop.”
“It’s not that funny, Vlad’s raised you on terrible humor.”
“Dad’s raised me fine.”

Plot Bunny: Danny Is A Clone but with a Twist
Fanfics where Danny is a clone of one of the Bats are not unheard of; however, what about this twist to the idea:
So, writer’s choice on how it happens but regardless Danny and Tim realize they are an exact DNA match to each other. Everyone is assuming clone, but Danny has memories of growing up as a Fenton. Despite Danny’s disagreement, the Bats assume that false memories might be at play, but Danny’s birth records are proven to be real and show Danny is only a few months younger than Tim.
After some digging, they uncover that Danny is indeed a clone of Tim except it was because of a fertility clinic error. That Tim’s parents, Janet and Jack Drake, had used a fertility clinic to insure the one baby she was willing to have would come out with all their desired traits (male, no genetic defects, whatnot.). Once the ideal zygote was created it was cloned to have plenty to work with however many insemination procedures it might take.
However, because of an error, some of those eggs ended up being used for Danny’s parents when they used the clinic some weeks/months later. (Without their knowledge and certainly without the Drake’s consent.) And because his parents assumed Danny got his black hair and blue eyes from his dad, they never second-guessed Danny as not being their bio son.
So, Danny is reeling realizing his parents aren’t his bio parents and Tim is reeling over the news he might not even be ‘the original’ considering how many fertilized eggs are generally used during IVF.
So yeah, clones but not out of some nefarious plot or anything. Just mundane human error, dumb luck, and chance.

Pets4Vets: Jesse (2/4)
Chapter 2 of 4 - Word Count: 3.2k - Jesse x Fem Reader Master List - previous chapter here
Jesse’s leg jiggled incessantly in his flimsy plastic chair in the reception area. He fidgeted with his fingers for a bit, then sat back, crossing them across his chest and lifting his chin. You swung open the door, datapad in hand, and scanned the empty room, stifling a grin at the fact that he nearly took up the entire corner. He was indeed “a big boy”, and his thin t-shirt made no attempt to conceal that fact. The giant Republic cog tattooed across his face and head was quite the statement, too. Resuming your businesslike manner, you invited him to follow you.
His eyes roved around your office as the door closed behind the two of you, the large window that made up the upper half allowing you to see people passing by outside. You felt a flicker of self-consciousness that surprised you as the faintest of smiles ghosted across his face at the sight of the many knick-knacks, memorabilia, and images that filled your walls. Past and present animals, with and without their owners, were peppered between what seemed like everything you had ever loved. But why should you care what some random trooper thought? You cleared your throat.
“So… You’re looking for a large dog ‘or something equally badass’?” you asked, reading off your datapad.
“Yeah,” he said, simultaneously proud yet a little unsure at his answer now that he heard it read back to him. “I just thought it’d be… nice. I’ve heard good stuff. Brothers seem to like their pets.”
“Many of them do, yes,” you agreed.
“At least the ones that can’t land a girl,” he scoffed, laughing and nodding at you as though you’d wholeheartedly agree. You didn’t, and stared at him for a moment before deciding to let that one go.
“The process might sound extensive, but the animals actually have a lot of nuance and personality, so we like to get to know our clients as well as possible so that we can find the best fit.”
“Ugh. You and the matchmaking people,” he blurted, pressing his lips together immediately. You realized he hadn’t meant to let that slip. Now you were torn about calling him out on it or not. Maybe feel him out a bit more first.
“Yes, it is essentially matchmaking,” you grinned. “Many of these animals will be with you for a good portion of your life, so they do become a beloved partner in a way. Just don’t have sex with them.”
He guffawed so loudly he clapped his hand over his mouth, eyes large at the unrefined sound he’d just made. You couldn’t resist a chuckle at that one yourself. You did have a bawdy sense of humor at times, but it wasn’t always received well, so his laughter was a bit gratifying.
“Just need to be clear on everything from the start,” you continued. He was trying and failing to arrange his features into the confident mask he’d worn through the door. You were surprised to find it endearing. But no time for that. “So… tell me about yourself. Your lifestyle. Your personality. Your priorities.”
“Kriff, that’s a lot. I mean… I was a soldier, obviously. Did a lot of wild and awesome things,” he grinned. Ah, back in his element. “Basically saved the galaxy. You know. You can show your gratitude in a variety of ways if you feel so inclined.” He ran a head over his bald head, leaning back to manspread a bit more on the other side of your desk.
You didn’t know what to say, but apparently your face said it all.
“Anyway…” He coughed, then continued. “Now I’m apparently just a regular old person with a job and an apartment and a whole exciting life ahead of me…” A flicker of something crossed his face; you weren’t sure what it was, but you were suddenly quite intrigued. He moved on quickly, however. “So nowadays I work as a personal trainer at Dwight Schrute’s Gym for Muscles. Mostly afternoon and evening shifts. Cause I like to sleep in… After long nights, you know? Ahah.”
“I bet,” you murmured, swiping on the datapad screen.
“I can tell you’re impressed,” he chuckled. You stared at him for a moment, unable to tell if he were being serious or not. “It’s okay, it happens to everyone.” Gods above, he was being serious.
“I am… quite stunned,” you said, meaning every word.
“Well don’t worry, I’ll pick you up if you faint.”
“Mm. Thanks.”
“Nothing any hero wouldn’t do.”
“Naturally.”
“What about you? What’s your story?”
You looked up, taken off guard. Why would anyone be asking about your side of things? You were suspicious. “Nothing too exciting. I work here. Annnnd that’s about it. So you’d say you’re pretty active… Are you able to get outdoors a lot? If a pet needed a decent amount of exercise? Considering your sleep schedule, a crepuscular animal might be a good fit.”
“No crabs, lady,” he said, shaking his head and putting both hands in the air. “I’ve avoided those all my life and I’m not about to start now.”
“Crabs?” you echoed, confused for a moment before it dawned on you. “Oh… Not crustaceous,” you clarified, biting back a giggle. “Crepuscular means animals that are most active in the twilight hours, so dawn or dusk. I suppose you’re not up early, but you mentioned a roommate? If they were able to give it a little attention in the early hours, you’d be on evening duty.”
“Alright,” he nodded, toning it down a bit. “I thought Massiffs were daytime animals though.”
“They are. I don’t think that would be the best fit for you, though.”
He looked affronted, “You think you know me already?” A flash of a grin, both cocky and insecure.
“No,” you smiled. “But I know our animals, and I’ve gotten pretty good at reading vibes.”
“Vibes?” he echoed, making no attempt to hide the condescension in his voice.
“Energy, personality, whatever you want to call it. I’m good at pairing.”
“Ah, so you must have an amazing boyfriend then, eh?” he jabbed, unaware of the territory he was wandering into. The sharp look on your face gave him some clue, though, so he tried to correct. “Er, girlfriend? A theydey or gentlethem?” Then he gasped, forcing a conspiratorial look onto his face. “Is it even human?”
You couldn’t help but laugh at the absolute ridiculousness. Where did he get the audacity? He was probably expecting you to be overwhelmed or impressed or have some kind of diminutive response. But that wasn’t quite what you were feeling at the moment.
“Actually,” you said, imitating his tone, “it’s a rancor.”
Now it was his turn to laugh, only this time it was authentic delight and surprise instead of the cocky little “ahah”s you’d been getting so far. You were grinning without meaning to, momentarily pleased by the awe on his face. “Alright, alright,” he chuckled, wagging a finger at you. “So you like it freaky.”
“I actually haven’t been on a decent date in over a year now,” you deadpanned, relishing the shock that replaced his swagger. He legitimately didn’t know what to do with that, and that felt wildly satisfying. “Anyway, that’s all I really need for today. The receptionist will book your next appointment on your way out.”
He was too speechless to craft any sort of cocky response as he shuffled out of the room.
* * *
“This place is LOUD!” you yelled to your friend over the music. You’d finally caved at her incessant requests to go to 79s, and after hours of fretting over what to wear and how to do your hair, since you were mostly used to work attire and a ponytail, you were there. You’d opted for a simple black dress but had left your hair down since you wouldn’t be surrounded by animals for a change, although your friend had laughed and said that’s exactly what you’d be surrounded by.
“You’ll get used to it!” she yelled back, waving enthusiastically at a table of troopers that she apparently seemed to be familiar with. A few of them howled back, beckoning her over, but she pointed at the bar first, and a few of them pushed past one another to meet her there. It was odd to see them all gathered in one place without their armor. Since the Clone Rights and Personhood Act had passed, they had no need for anything other than civilian clothing anymore, but it was still unique to see so many people with the same face. Granted, they all had their own unique style and approach to individuality, but you just weren’t used to all of it quite yet.
Your friend dragged you to the bar counter along with the troopers, each one wearing a different t-shirt over some plain jeans, and the flirting began immediately. You stood behind the group, squinting to try to make out what was on the menu. The choices were fairly slim… a couple of cocktails or some very watered-down beer, or so you’d heard. Maybe you’d just stick with water tonight.
Or so you thought.
Two hours later, you were completely drunk, having given in to multiple offers of drinks and dances, and your face was flushed red from the thrill of it all. It was quite unlike you, but you didn’t care. The troopers were adorable and endearing, and you were having an absolute blast learning so many names, dancing like a crazy person, and enjoying the shenanigans of the rowdy bunch. A naval officer currently had his hands on your hips, a gleeful grin on his face as the two of you rocked to the music. You’d been self conscious at first about dancing for all of two minutes, but the clones didn’t seem to care at all. They were just there to have fun, and you’d quickly found yourself caught up in the joy of it all.
You were tiring quickly though, having danced for almost an hour straight, and you thanked your partner before heading off to the side, leaning against the wall and fanning yourself for a minute. Touching your hands to your cheeks, you giggled at how hot they were. You felt so pleasantly bubbly, just a little dizzy, warm and fuzzy inside, and absolutely delighted with anything and everything.
“Well well well. Didn’t expect to see you here.” A clone had appeared at your side, immediately recognizable by the giant Republic cog tattoo across his face.
“Jesse!” you yelled, flinging your arms open and throwing yourself at him for a hug. He stepped back, surprised, and lightly touched your back before you pulled back to regard him fondly. “This place is great!!”
He chuckled, eyebrows furrowed at the shocking departure from what he’d seen of your personality at the animal shelter. “Yeah, I mean… You alright?” he tilted his head as you giggled, smacking his chest playfully.
“SO GOOD!” you squawked, hand sliding up to his shoulder, then down his arm. You gave it a squeeze, then dropped your hand. “Damn, lookin good, trooper. What are you doing?”
“Just… hanging out,” he grinned. “You lookin for some fun?”
“I seem to have found it!” You waggled your eyebrows, stepping closer and toying with his waist. “This place is great!”
“Yeah, you said that,” he laughed. “Want to dance?”
“Hellz to the yeah!” And you started dancing right there, swinging your hair around like your life depended on it.
“Wow… Okay… Let’s get you some water first,” he suggested, now torn between concern and delight.
“Water is for boglings!” you squawked, grabbing his hand and doing your best to drag him to the dance floor. But he was significantly larger than you, and he tugged you right back. You collided with his broad chest and looked up at him indignantly.
“Water first,” he insisted, tapping the tip of your nose playfully.
“Get out of here,” you laughed, swatting at his hand. “But fine... if it means I get to grind on those juicy thighs!”
“Deal,” he grinned.
You gulped down the pathetic cup of water he’d been able to wrangle from the bartender, then the two of you hit the dance floor. Whether it was all the pent-up energy you’d choked down from your disappointing dates or just the sheer intoxication of… well… being intoxicated, you were happy to let loose. Jesse was smooth and strong all at once, hands growing heavier on your body as you writhed against him, and you reached an arm up to cup the back of his neck. He lowered his head, brushing his lips against your neck, and hot fireworks exploded throughout your core as you continued to sway together.
“Want to get out of here?” you yelled, turning around to face him and gliding your hands down his front. Your hair was scattered across your shoulders, cheeks bright red on either side of a dumb grin, and he swallowed. His gaze darkened for a moment, and he pulled you a little closer, cupping your face and meeting your eyes with undeniable desire. But he looked at you for a moment longer, and his shoulders slumped a tiny bit.
“I’ll walk you home,” he offered.
“No, I meant to bang!” you pressed, laughing in complete disregard.
“I know...” he chuckled, taking your arm and steering you toward the door. "I know."
* * *
You woke the next morning with a raging headache and a sick stomach. You sank your face into your hands, groaning at your desk as you tried to read the datapad with bleary eyes. Only a few appointments today, thank the Maker. Cleaning the animal kennels had nearly made you throw up, so a quiet day of desk work was about all you could handle before crawling back home to your bed. Your friend who'd taken you to 79s had commed you far too early in the morning, gleefully informing you that you’d been “off the hook”, and while you’d dreaded the answer to your the question you had for her, she’d assured you that you’d messaged her upon arriving at home and that you went to bed alone.
Whatever else had happened, you couldn’t remember. At least you didn’t have to get tested for "crepusculars", you chuckled to yourself.
A light knock on your door rang loudly in your ears, and you squinted through your window at the receptionist, who was waving with far too bright a smile for the ungodly hour of 10am. She jerked her head behind her, giving you a not-too-subtle thumbs up as she opened your door and ushered in the cocky clone from a couple days ago. Something about him looked different though… Your wracked your brain but came up with nothing other than an unsettled feeling. Maybe you’d had a dirty dream about him… it wouldn’t be the first time some random client had popped up while you slept. Either way, you felt your cheeks redden slightly as he stepped into your office, the door closing behind him. Only when he sat in the chair on the other side of your desk did you notice that he had two smoothies in his hands, one of which he slid across to you.
“Good morning,” he grinned, and your stomach dropped as you realized he seemed to know something you didn’t.
“Morning…” you said suspiciously, taking the smoothie and inspecting it before looking back at him. “What’s this?”
“It’s a lil somethin from the gym I work at… All kinds of healthy crap in it… But it’s supposedly great for hangovers.”
You stared, heart sinking in your chest. What had you done…
“So,” he continued briskly, all business and innocence. “What’s the next step? Meeting some animals today?”
“Yes…” you said slowly, entirely unsure of how to move on. You were kicking yourself for having been so careless… You were never the type to drink so much that you couldn’t remember. But you’d felt safe and had been so buoyed by the infectious atmosphere… Regardless, there was work to be done, and you turned to your datapad to avoid his eyes. “There are a few different options that I had in mind after reviewing your file…”
“Is that what you call it…” he murmured, causing you to jerk your head up so fast that it throbbed. You winced, rubbing your temples and taking a sip of the smoothie. It was surprisingly refreshing, and you took a few more gulps, staring at him skeptically.
“Alright,” you snapped, equally indignant and resigned. “Out with it.”
“With what?” His angelic smile made your heart skip a beat, which further added to your confusion.
“Whatever you’re gloating about.”
“You just seem so… professional in here…” he said, taking a leisurely sip of his own smoothie before putting it down with a flourish.
“And…?”
“And a little more laid back when you were grinding on me like your life depended on it last night.”
You were stunned into silence, mouth falling open a little bit as you stared at him, speechless. You couldn’t believe it. He wasn’t even your type. Plus, you doubt he would have let you go home alone if you’d done what he was accusing you of.
“You’re lying.”
“Mmkay,” he shrugged. Somehow that made you even more incensed.
“So what else happened?” you challenged, lifting your chin a little bit.
“Drinks and dancing. You really like to fling your hair around,” he chuckled. “Then I walked you home.”
“And?” you squinted.
“And that’s it. You said you could make it up to your apartment. Did you?”
“Yes,” you sighed, relieved that your report to your friend had been accurate. But it struck you as odd. Wouldn’t he be the type to take advantage of your momentary lapse in judgment?
“But if you still want to ‘bang’, as you put it, I’d be happy to oblige.” He folded his arms behind his head, showing off his muscles and arching an eyebrow at you, unfazed by your grimace and audible groan.
“Did I really say that?” You didn’t even really want to know the answer.
“Mhm. Didn’t know you wanted me that bad.”
“Kriff,” you muttered under your breath. Why did it have to be him? Of all the troopers in that Maker-forsaken bar… This was beyond repair. “I’m gonna have my colleague Tosak take your case,” you said suddenly, rising to your feet and grabbing your datapad. “He’ll be able to pick up where we left off and you should be able to take your animal home by the end of the week.”
“Wait, why?” Jesse stood up quickly, dropping the cocky facade immediately.
“You expect me to be professional after that?”
“No,” he answered bluntly, and you couldn’t help but laugh.
“Exactly,” you sighed, the flicker of a smile touching your cheeks. “It’ll be better this way.” You slipped out the door, once again leaving him in your office, mouth slightly open with a million different things to say.

I need codywan where there is one sided obitine (Satine not being over Obi), and Cody is jealous of Satine because Satine and Obi-Wan are being their very flirty selves, and then Satine sees two pining idiots and realizes that Obi-Wan has moved on and that Cody needs a push towards Obi-Wan— resulting in much lamenting about Obi-Wan’s incredibly attractive ridiculous tendencies
Satine (to Cody): I’ve seen the way you look at him you know
Cody (internally panicking): I have no clue what your talking about sir
Later:
Cody: and then after destroying an entire fucking missile with his mind, that little fringe fell into his face, and kriff it was so hot
Satine: Manda, I know exactly what you’re talking about

I can't find the original image to reboot and credit, but here you go.
TECH: When I analyzed Omega's DNA, I noticed an anomaly in her blood. Upon further research, she has a high volume of midichlorians."
WRECKER: What does that mean?
TECH: There was a correlation between a "high M-Count" and a Jedi's abilities using the Force.
OMEGA: Does this mean I'm a Jedi?!
TECH: Possibly. You would need extra training by a Jedi to use those skills.
ECHO: I've never noticed she has Force skills.
TECH: I thought her ability to connect with animals was an obvious manifestation of such abilities.
HUNTER: I am sensitive to vibrations. Do I have the Force?
TECH: It seems of the Kaminoans' experimental Clones, only Omega was specifically given a high M-count, which probably explains why she is so valuable to Nala Se and the Empire.
ECHO: Now we know what we're up against. Thankfully, we don't need to collaborate with any suspicious women to get this information. We must find a more secure location to hide. I will contact Rex immediately.

Fanart for The Legend Of Liob written by @killbothtwins
"She had gotten a picture of Cody vaulting over the kriffing rock. The sun was behind him, explosions and blaster bolts dotting the background. His face was set in determination and apparently heroic fire, although Cody thought he really just looked annoyed about the stray lightsaber.
Paintbrush made it into a poster, styled as a stained glass window, and put it up in the bunk room on the Negotiator. "
I just couldn´t resist drawing the picture that was forming in my minds eye while reading this passage.
This fanfic is a favourite of mine that i suggest you go read if you love yourself a little humor in a very well written galaxy far far away.
